Adult Women Class (EB1, Room 302) Teacher: Janice Cooper Class Makeup: Adult Women, Mixed Ages Class Description: Uses Lifeway curriculum Each Sunday is opened in prayer after taking prayer request and hearing praises from the week. We have open discussions of Scripture based on the weekly lesson study. We collect money given for youth events and any needs the elderly may have. We help in purchasing turkeys for the Thanksgiving baskets. During the summer months we like to meet for food and fellowship.
Adult Co-Ed Class (EB1, Room 301) Teacher: Rick Fuggi Class Makeup: Adults, Mixed Ages Class Description: Uses the “Explore the Bible” Curriculum. Class for serious Bible study. We use the New American Standard Bible translation. We also have an outside ministry of visiting those that are sick.
Adult Co-Ed Class (EB1, Room 305) Teacher: Debbie Giro Class Makeup: Multigenerational ages 15-90–Adult married, singles, widowed, family including teens. Class Description: We are currently studying the gospel of John. A very diverse group of people who love the Word. We take a deep dive into Scripture, at times defining words from the Greek or Hebrew language, and using cross references. We use no other books or study materials besides our Bible.
Adult Men's Class (EB1, Room 306) Teacher: Bob Giro Class Makeup: Multigenerational -- Adult men, ages ranging from 20s to 80s. Class Description: Currently using "Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God" Focuses on God's invitation for us to experience Him in an intimate love relationship through which He reveals to us His will, His ways, and His work.
A multigenerational group that gathers to share prayer requests, give thanks for blessings and engage in Bible study. An inclusive and engaged group that enjoys lively conversation about the lesson at hand. Our class financially supports selected ministries via a weekly collection and a monthly offering.
Adult Co-Ed Class (EB1, Choir Room) Teacher: Mary Frances Tracy/Diane Weih Class Makeup: Multigenerational -- Adult singles and couples, ages ranging from 20s to 80s. Class Description: Uses the “Explore the Bible” Curriculum. A multigenerational group that gathers to study the Bible lesson interjected with examples and lively discussion. We share weekly prayer requests/praises via email & hardcopy. We have quarterly lunch gatherings at church following class. We participate in mission’s activities highlighted through Oak Grove. We do a book-by-book Bible study program with the aim to help participants understand the original intent of each passage by providing context from the Bible, culture, and archaeology. The goal is to help people apply God's Word to their everyday lives.
Adult Co-Ed Class (EB1, Room 304) Teacher: Pastor Led Class Makeup: Adults, Mixed Ages. Class Description: Uses “School of Biblical Evangelism” & “Disciples Path” books. The pastoral staff offers a Sunday morning class aimed at training someone to live as an evangelist and how this will enhance our personal fellowship with the Savior. While there will always be real and practical ways to serve in the church, God wants us to share the truth we have with a lost world. Be prepared to learn how to engage others with the Gospel message, all the while growing closer to the Lord.
Education Building 2 Adult Co-Ed Class (EB2, Room 1) Teacher: Scott Turnage Class Makeup: Married couples under 50 Class Description: Uses the “Drive by Marriage” Curriculum from Gospel Partners Media A marriage course that teaches how the Gospel practically applies to marriage. We are a group of married couples who enjoy encouraging each other through the challenges of marriage and parenting. We start off with prayer requests and praises which are made available for the group to pray over throughout the week. For the current curriculum, we listen to a 15-minute recording followed by in depth discussion of the topic the recording covered. Regardless of the current format, the discussion is always open and honest bringing encouragement through God’s word.
Young Adult Co-Ed Class (EB2, Room 2) Teacher: Jeffrey Cole Class Makeup: Adults ages 18-25 Class Description: Application of the Bible for life for 18–25-year-olds. Reading through the New Testament in a year. The week’s reading provides the discussion on Sunday mornings.
Adult Co-Ed Class (EB2, Upper Level, just outside the kitchen) Teacher: Mike Buckley Class Makeup: Multigenerational; adult singles and couples, with ages ranging from 20s to 80 Class Description: "Relating Biblical principles in today's world." Teacher-led, informal, edifying discussions on Scripture and the topic/lessons at hand, with participation encouraged but not forced. We also get together outside of the classroom, with members opening their homes for monthly fellowship gatherings. Our class prepares and serves meals for the ADAM addiction ministry meetings on the fourth and fifth Tuesdays of each month. We also actively support, through online teaching and financially, the persecuted church in Pakistan.
Education Building 3 Adult Co-Ed Class (EB3, Upper Level) Teacher: Greg Rice Class Makeup: Multigenerational -- Adult singles and couples, ages ranging from 20s to 80s. Class Description: Uses the “Bible Studies for Life” Curriculum Topical studies using Bible passages for application to the day-to-day life of a believer. A multigenerational group that gathers to share prayer requests, give praises for blessings and engage in Bible study. An inclusive and honest bunch that enjoys lively conversation about the lesson at hand. Our class prepares and serves the annual “Souper Bowl” World Hunger lunch.
Adult Co-Ed Class (EB3, Lower Level, Room 4) Teacher: Glenn and Tina Makela Class Makeup: Multigenerational -- Adult singles and couples, ages ranging from 20s to 80s. Class Description: Topic and studies that promote Christian growth discipleship The class focuses on developing future Christan mentors. Our teaching is teacher led and group discussion. We are a tight knit group that support each other with prayer. We have monthly fellowships outside of church to promote lifelong Christian relationships. We actively support outreach projects. Currently we are involved in Operation Christmas Child and a homeless ministry. Many in the class have experienced great loss or are caregivers for patents and special need adult children.
